Background
In 2015, Haverford Properties was selected as the lead developer of a 9-acre site along the waterfront in Philadelphia. HP partnered with Jefferson Apartment Group and together we are developing 600 luxury apartments and 30,000 square feet of retail and outdoor amenities.
Value Created
Haverford Properties completed all necessary approvals and received permits in time to take advantage of an expiring tax abatement program and secured several million dollars in grants to defray infrastructure costs. HP also executed a 15-year lease with a leading national grocer and worked with local and federal government representatives to petition the United States Congress to remove the site from the potential restrictions imposed by navigational servitude.
